Second-chance litigation has increased throughout the country.   Similarly, in Delaware, in recent years, our expungement laws have changed, allowing more people to become eligible for potential second chance relief.  The training will outline the current state of expungement law in Delaware and the impact of Clean Slate legislation.  This training will discuss the adult and juvenile expungement statutes, eligibility and legal standard, and procedural rules and practices.  The training will also discuss relevant caselaw and the pardon process.  The training will review what is included in a pardon application and the process before the Board of Pardons.  This training will serve as a primer for any attorneys who would like to volunteer at expungement clinics and/or in representing clients in second-chance proceedings.

This is a free CLE offered in preparation for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Please bring your own bagged lunch.

This seminar offers 1.5 credits to Delaware Attorneys only.

Location is only available at the DSBA, no livestream options will be available.
