This seminar will provide attorneys and court professionals with evidence-based tools to navigate the complexities of custody cases involving domestic violence. Presenters will share research, best practices, and practical strategies to ensure that decisions and recommendations truly serve the best interest of the child.

Participants will gain:
● A clear understanding of the American Psychological Association (APA)’s guidelines for evidence-based and ethically informed child-custody evaluations.
● Insight into effective and appropriate use of data and evidence, including how to identify common missteps that can compromise child safety and well-being.
● Practical strategies for implementing trauma-informed and child-centered approaches throughout the legal process—from client interviews to courtroom advocacy.

This session will empower participants to make informed, responsible decisions in cases where the stakes for children’s safety, stability, and emotional development are at their highest.

Lunch is provided.

This seminar offers 1.5 credits to Delaware and Pennsylvania Attorneys, 1.8 credits to New Jersey Attorneys.
