In April 2023, Delaware became the 22nd state to legalize cannabis after Governor Carney allowed House Bills 1 & 2 to become law without his signature. HB 1 legalizes possession of up to one ounce of cannabis for adults 21 and older. HB 2 establishes and regulates the marijuana industry. This will be a panel discussion moderated by John Deckers addressing: the history and enactment of Delaware laws, marijuana products and consumption, the criminal and civil considerations involving DUI, other looming legal issues, marijuana licensing, and considerations of the DE Lawyers Rules of Professional Conduct.
