This session will provide a comprehensive overview of Delaware’s legislative process, including legislative drafting best practices, prominent issues before the General Assembly, and an elected official’s perspective on voting on legislation. Using recent affordable housing legislation as a case study, the program will illustrate how a bill moves from concept to enactment, highlighting stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and key decision points throughout the process. The Delaware State Bar Association (DSBA) will also discuss how attorneys can effectively engage with the Association and its sections to provide input on proposed legislation.

This seminar offers 2.0 credits to Delaware and Pennsylvania Attorneys; 2.4 credits to New Jersey Attorneys.
