SUMMARY:2025 Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast & Day of Service
DESCRIPTION:This year\, the DSBA welcomes Dr. Eddie Glaude\, Jr. as the keynote speaker for our Annual Breakfast Programming honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. For the majority of Americans\, the image of Dr. King is frozen in time. This keynote address examines a critical juncture in the life of Martin Luther King Jr.\, where he grappled with despair and disillusionment over the country’s direction. “We long for a Dr. King or an Abe Lincoln\, because we don’t see our own capabilities as being sufficient\,” Dr. Glaude has said. “History converged in a way that called Dr. King forward\, and he answered the call. That can happen to anybody. We don’t need another Martin Luther King. We need everyday\, ordinary people. We are the leaders we’ve been looking for.”  We look forward to hearing Dr. Glaude’s insights on what we all must do to make America live up to its promise—to turn abstraction into action and become agents of change. \nService Projects: You may contribute to this year’s “Amazon Middle School Drive Registry” here: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/PJLLKO1JASAC\, or sign up as an attorney-volunteer for our “Day of Service Wills Clinic” here https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_z-8Y_IZvSl2eIn9QF8nWSA (registrants must be Delaware-licensed attorneys). Other volunteer opportunities will be made available for registration on the DSBA’s website in January 2025. \n\nSponsorships: If you are interested in serving as a sponsor for the DSBA’s 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Breakfast and Statewide Day of Service\, please contact Kendeil A. Dorvilier\, Esq. at kdorvilier@mccarter.com for the appropriate form.  Completed forms are due by December 31\, 2024. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER

SUMMARY:Linking the Blocks: Combining Blockchain and Traditional Data Sources for Collections
DESCRIPTION:Blockchain data\, by its very nature\, is immutable\, transparent\, and permanent. Collecting and analyzing this “on-chain” data can provide information critical to internal investigations and discovery. When links between traditional “off-chain” data sources can be made to the comprehensive on-chain data\, the results can be illuminating. This program will describe the intersection between on-chain and off-chain data and how links between those data sets can be established to enhance investigations and discovery. \nRegistration Information\nThis seminar offers 1 credit to Delaware and Pennsylvania Attorneys. \nLocations available are Wilmington\, Live stream options in Georgetown\, Dover\, and Seaford \n* Advertised price is for the standard member rate. \n\n\n\n\n\nCLE Pricing\nCost\n\n\n\n\nDSBA Member\n$50\n\n\nNon-Member\n$150\n\n\nGovernment/SFSP\n$40\n\n\nPA Credit\n$4\n\n\n\n\nOUT OF STATE CLE CREDIT INFO \nThose attendees who wish to receive CLE credit\, other than from Delaware or Pennsylvania\, should contact their individual State’s CLE Commission for credit.
