Legislative Matters

The Association is actively engaged in monitoring bills introduced in the Legislature and in communicating with legislators and legislative committee members through its own members and through the services of its Legislative Agent. The Association and its sections initiate bills, and with the assistance of the Legislative Agent propose them and rally support for their passage. In order to keep abreast of all legislation which may affect the legal profession and the administration of justice, members of the Bar are encouraged to visit the Delaware General Assembly website and notify the Association or its Section Chairs of matters which require attention.

Sections who wish to request public statements from the Association regarding proposed legislation must fill out a procedure form and submit it to the Executive Committee for consideration.
